SONIA

My name is Sonia Fraga, I come from Portugal and I have lived in the UK for the last 20 years. I have been the Director of Belissima for past 6 years.

I started my hairdressing career in Portugal and have completed an NVQ3 in hairdressing and also in Barbering. I am an assessor for hairdressing, I am qualified in extensions and I always look to add more knowledge and skills to my profession.

I love what I do every day, the buzz of the salon, my clients, my team, the transformations, the trims, being in contact with people and creating art with hair.

ELANOR

I am a Senior Stylist at Belissima. I’ve been hairdressing for 7 years and completed my NVQ 2&3 through a hairdressing apprenticeship.

I love my job and I love making my client’s feel confident and beautiful! I enjoy all aspects of being behind the chair but colouring is my main passion.

LAUREN

I am one of the stylists at Belissima. I moved to England a few years ago from Spain where I had completed 3 years of hairdressing previously.

When I moved to England I carried on my training and achieved qualifications for hairdressing NVQ 2.

I love doing hair and trying new techniques to advance my skills and making people feel confident with their hair. My favourite part of hairdressing is blow drying and haircuts.

KIM

My name is Kim and I am the Beauty therapist at Belissima.

In my spare time I enjoy decorating our house, crafting, and going on walks and days out with with our children and our dog.

From a professional point of view, I studied beauty at City of Bath College many years ago. During my career in the beauty industry I have worked in many different sectors including retail, spa, and manufacturing. This has helped me get a good overall view of how the industry works. Working Alongside brands and companies such as Center Parcs, Lush, Clarins, Clinique, Bare minerals, Bodyshop, Neal’s yard remedies, Moonfleet Manor spa, and Elemis.

I have developed my skills over time by attending many courses to add to my skill set, and to learn new treatments to add to my treatment menu.

My aim is to make each one of you that visit me feel pampered, relaxed and valued. Which is why I take a more holistic approach to my massage and facial treatments. I enjoy performing all of the treatments I offer, but I feel I’m a naturally creative person. I love working with acrylic and gel polish to create some one off temporary works of art on a miniature canvas.

DERRICK

My name is Derrick Leyton. After a varied and satisfying hairdressing career, I'm now semi-retired. I enjoy looking after my loyal clientele. It's great working in an environment where new techniques and products are introduced.
